Dr Felix McNulty is a Lecturer in Adolescent Health Inequalities at Lancaster University's Faculty of Health and Medicine, within the Health Research department. Their research focuses on queer phenomenologies, critical weight studies, and LGBTQ+ youth mental health, centering trans and gender non-conforming experiences. ESRC-funded doctoral work explored embodiment and body negotiations among trans/non-binary individuals, challenging clinical framing of eating practices. Recent publications address mental health support for LGBTQ+ youth amid cisheteronormative systems.

Recent projects include the Queer Futures 2 study on youth mental health interventions and the Critical Dietetics and Public Health initiative.
