Felix Huber

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Felix Huber serves as a Professor at the University of Wuppertal, leading the teaching and research area of Environmentally Compatible Infrastructure Planning and Urban Development in the Department of Civil Engineering. He is a distinguished member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and holds prominent positions including head of Working Committee 1.5 "Planning and Operation of Public Transport" and Cross-sectional Committee 7 "Post-Fossil Transport" at the German Road and Transport Research Association (RIARC). Additionally, he represents the Federal Ministry of Transport at the International Road Association (PIARC) in the field of "Climate Change and Sustainability".

His research expertise lies in sustainable urban and transport planning, with a focus on developing post-fossil mobility solutions and urban development strategies that address demographic change and climate protection imperatives. Current projects investigate how cities can adapt infrastructure to meet future challenges of sustainability and population shifts, emphasizing qualified responses to post-fossil societal transitions.
