Felix Anker

Felix Anker is a teaching and research fellow (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, focusing on linguistic research and education. He holds a PhD student status while contributing to projects related to the languages of the Caucasus.

Research Interests: Felix Anker specializes in the languages of the Caucasus, with a focus on language typology, syntax of complex clauses, and reported speech constructions. His work explores cross-linguistic comparisons, particularly logophoricity in West African languages, and the grammatical features of East, West, and Kartvelian Caucasian languages.

Publications & Research Trends: His submitted works include studies on clause chaining, reported speech, and negation in Tsova-Tush, as well as collaborative research on Hunzib sketch grammar. The 2019 publication on bridging constructions in Tsezic languages highlights his interest in interclausal relations and grammatical structures.

Teaching: Felix has taught courses on Caucasian Studies, North Caucasian languages, linguistic peculiarities of Caucasus languages, intercultural pragmatics, and digital dictionaries at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and summer schools.

Projects & Collaborations: He has contributed to projects like "LexCauc – A lexical database for the languages of the Caucasus" and "Documenting Dargi languages in Daghestan - Shiri and Sanzhi" (2017–2019). Collaborations include work with Diana Forker on Hunzib grammar.
