Felicity Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Integrated Care (Population Health) and Director of Studies for Specialist Practice at the University of Surrey's School of Health Sciences, part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She holds qualifications including a PGCert in Learning and Teaching for Professional Practice, and is a Registered General Nurse, SCPHN Health Visitor, and Community Nurse Prescriber.
Her career spans over two decades in public health nursing, with roles in health visiting, practice development, and strategic service innovation. She focuses on evidence-based practice to address local health needs, particularly for children and families.
Her research interests include child health promotion, injury prevention, maternal mental health, and the integration of technology in healthcare interventions. Recent publications highlight innovative approaches to reducing childhood injuries via mobile apps and evaluating exercise therapies for postnatal depression.
As Module Lead, she teaches on postgraduate programs in public health practice and primary care, emphasizing early intervention and service development. She is Secretary of the UK Standing Council on Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Education, reflecting her leadership in professional practice standards.
