Felicity Aulino

Felicity Aulino is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Mount Holyoke College, associated with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She is a medical anthropologist with expertise in public health education and ethnographic filmmaking, focusing on Thailand. Her research centers on care practices, moral social action, and their role in societal transformation.

In her 2019 book Rituals of Care, Aulino examines how habitual caregiving practices in Thailand intersect with cultural and political shifts. Her current work investigates belief systems, local theories of mind, and extraordinary experiences, blending spiritual and secular frameworks.

Publications reflect her interdisciplinary approach, spanning topics like aging societies in Southeast Asia, Buddhist-inspired moral frameworks, and visual ethnography methods. She actively engages students and the community in discussions about Culture, Health, and Science certificates, anthropology in the Pioneer Valley, and broader theoretical debates.
