Fei Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at Bentley University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an M.A. from Shanghai University, and a B.A. from Taizhou University. Fei Yu’s research focuses on language learning motivation, learner autonomy, immersion education, and technology-enhanced learning. Her work also explores teacher education, pedagogies, curriculum design, and linguistic landscapes, addressing issues like linguistic discrimination through discourse analysis. She specializes in second language acquisition and has developed programs in Chinese language and cultural education.
As a dedicated educator, Fei Yu employs student-centered teaching strategies to foster engagement in Chinese language and culture courses. She has experience conducting qualitative and mixed-methods research and is actively involved in campus and professional service initiatives.
