Assoc Prof Fei Duan is a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He joined NTU in July 2008 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto (2005–2008) and serving as a visiting scientist at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics, Friedrich-Alexander-University, Germany. His research spans droplet dynamics, Marangoni flows, thermal management systems, and sustainable energy solutions.

Research Interests focus on
- Droplet wetting and evaporation dynamics
- Thermal cooling for industrial and data center applications
- Phase-change materials (PCMs) and nanofluid thermal properties
- Fluid-structure interactions and Marangoni convection
- Efficient cogeneration systems and renewable energy integration
Publications include over 260 peer-reviewed journal/conference papers and book chapters. Recent work explores ammonia-based energy systems, PCM optimization, and AI-driven thermal modeling.
