Federico Maria Savastano is a Tenure Track Researcher in Constitutional and Public Law at the Department of Political Science, Sapienza – Università di Roma. He teaches European Constitutional Law and Constitutional Environmental Law, while also offering an English-taught course in Global Law and Humanities. His research focuses on territorial autonomies, constitutional reforms, and gender equality, supported by his Jean Monnet Module and Sapienza research grants on secession and centrifugal tendencies.
- Education: PhD in Public, Comparative, and International Law (Sapienza, 2015), Master's in International Relations (Sapienza, 2011), BA in Political Science (Sapienza, 2008).
His academic work spans constitutional transformations in EU enlargement, intergenerational relations, and environmental rights. He has authored/co-authored over 20 publications, including the 2024 edited volume on European Parliament Elections and the 2023 monograph on Constitutional Transformations in the Enlargement of the European Union. Awards include the Erasmus+ ICM Fellowship (2021) and CIVIS Hub grant (2021). He chairs thesis committees on multilevel governance and European citizenship, with students exploring topics like war powers in EU integration and transnational citizenship. Current projects address territorial conflicts and scientific writing workshops in public law.
