Federico Manuri

Federico Manuri serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) at Polytechnic University of Turin, where he conducts research and teaching in human-computer interaction, extended reality, and computer vision technologies.

Dr. Manuri earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Polytechnic University of Turin in 2008, 2011, and 2017 respectively, establishing a strong foundation for his academic career at the same institution.

His research spans multiple domains of interactive computing systems with particular emphasis on human-centered technologies. As a member of the GRAINS (GRAphics and INtelligent Systems) research group, he investigates applications of augmented reality, virtual reality, and computer vision across industrial, educational, and entertainment contexts. His work in human-robot collaboration explores how cobots can safely and effectively interact with humans in shared workspaces. The European Research Council classifies his expertise under PE6_8 (Computer graphics, computer vision) and PE6_9 (Human computer interaction), aligning with Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality education) and 9 (Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure).
