Federico Filetti

Federico Filetti is a Research Fellow in the Department of Social Policy at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), part of the School of Public Policy. His work focuses on comparative social policy, political economy, and welfare state dynamics. Prior to LSE, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King’s College London and earned his PhD in Sociology from Sciences Po Paris (2022), with a thesis titled Labour Market Protection and Family Policy in High-Income Countries: Continuity and Change (1990–2020).

Research Interests: Federico leads two major research streams. First, analyzing high-income countries’ transitions to the knowledge economy through collaborations with King’s College London, Edinburgh, and Leiden. Second, co-investigating welfare state changes’ impacts on women across social classes with Emanuele Ferragina (Sciences Po Paris). His work employs mixed methods, emphasizing comparative policy analysis and quantitative methodologies.
