Federico Echenique

Federico Echenique is a Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, he held the Allen and Lenabelle Davis Professorship at the California Institute of Technology for 20 years. His research focuses on economic theory, economics and computation, and mathematical economics, with emphasis on revealed preference theory, two-sided matching markets, and fairness in discrete allocation. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, Game Theory Society, and Society of Advancement of Economic Theory.

He has served on editorial boards for leading journals, including the American Economic Review and Econometrica, and currently co-edits Theoretical Economics. His work bridges economics and computer science, particularly in computational aspects of market design.
