Federico Delfino is a Professor at the Department of Naval, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, Università degli Studi di Genova. He holds administrative roles as Rector, member of the Administrative Council, Academic Senate, and Sport Committee of the university. His teaching includes Power Systems Management and courses in Energy Engineering and Electrical Energy Systems.
Research interests focus on power systems, microgrid optimization, and renewable energy integration, with recent articles analyzing topics like lightning performance, day-ahead power management, and levelized cost of electricity in energy communities. However, conflicting publications from Google Scholar suggest secondary interests in political science, specifically electoral legislation and illiberal democracy models in Russia and Hungary.
His work spans theoretical and applied aspects, including industrial microgrid case studies and energy system planning for Positive Energy Districts. Contact: rettore@unige.it, federico.delfino@unige.it.
