Federico Buonocore

Federico Buonocore is a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Kingston University, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacy within the School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry. He joined the university in 2018 following his PhD in Chemistry from Kingston University (2018). His qualifications include a BSc Hons in Chemistry (University of Salerno, 2011) and an MSc in Forensic Analysis (Kingston University, 2012).

His research focuses on drug discovery and delivery, particularly the design of hydrogels for controlled drug delivery in antitumoral and antimicrobial contexts, as well as alternative formulations for pulmonary drug delivery. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, reflecting his commitment to teaching excellence. His pedagogical approach emphasizes creating stimulating learning environments to prepare students for advanced qualifications and professional roles in pharmacy and chemistry.
