Federica Sarro

Federica Sarro is a Professor of Software Engineering at the Department of Computer Science, University College London (UCL), Faculty of Engineering Sciences. She leads the SOLAR (Software Optimisation, Learning and Analytics Research) group, focusing on cutting-edge research in software engineering methodologies and applications.

Her research interests span Software Engineering, Predictive Analytics, Search-Based Software Engineering, and Empirical Software Engineering, with recent work emphasizing ethical considerations in modern software systems including fairness in AI, software sustainability, and responsible software engineering practices.
