Federica Bertagna is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Verona, affiliated with the Department of Cultures and Civilizations. Her primary research focuses on modern and contemporary history, particularly Italian migration to Latin America, the history of journalism, and transnational networks. She holds academic positions including membership in the Teaching staff council for the Postgraduate Research doctorate in the History of European Society and the Commissione Paritetica Docenti/Studenti.
Her research interests center on migration patterns, historiography, and the socio-political dynamics of Italian diasporic communities in Argentina and Brazil. Notable projects include studies on Italian enterprises in post-war Argentina and the role of journalism in immigrant communities. She has authored over 30 scholarly publications since 2007, with a focus on migration, fascism, and cultural history.
