Fazio Alessandra

Fazio Alessandra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human and Health Sports Sciences at the University of Rome 'Foro Italico'. She serves as the Director of the University Language Center (CLA) and leads the Linguistic Research Laboratory. She is actively involved in European academic networks, including the CercleS European Confederation of Language Centers and the AICLU Italian Association of University Language Centers, where she holds leadership roles such as Vice President and Deputy Secretary General.

Research Interests: Her research spans applied linguistics, multilingualism in higher education, multimodal discourse analysis, and the linguistic dimensions of digital communication, particularly in esports. She investigates how language conveys cultural, academic, and social identity, especially through institutional websites and real-time commentary. Her work integrates innovative methods like eye-tracking to study linguistic perception.
