Faye Didymus

Faye Didymus is a Reader in Sport and Performance Psychology at the Carnegie School of Sport, Leeds Beckett University, where she also serves as Co-Director for Postgraduate Research Degrees. She holds institutional leadership roles on the Academic Board and Research Degree Sub-Committee. Her academic journey includes a first-class undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Gloucestershire, followed by research at Brunel University and a PhD in Sport and Performance Psychology from Loughborough University.

Her research program focuses on human welfare through the lenses of psychological stress, well-being, and quality of life. Working with diverse populations including athletes, coaches, medical professionals, and students, she employs mixed-method approaches to examine:

• Interpersonal stress dynamics and coping mechanisms
• Mediators of psychological well-being in high-pressure environments
