Faye Chiou Tan

Faye Chiou Tan, M.D., is a Professor and Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs at Baylor College of Medicine, holding multiple leadership roles including Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Harris Health and Section Chief of EMG/NCS and General PM&R. She is affiliated with the H. Ben Taub Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Education includes an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine (1990), A.B. from Princeton University (1985), and advanced training at Baylor College of Medicine affiliate hospitals. She is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Her research focuses on neuromuscular disorders, electrodiagnosis, neuroimaging, and space medicine. Notable work includes studies on electrodiagnostic techniques, spinal cord injury management, and neuroanatomical imaging. She has served as AANEM President (2024–2025).
