Fatuma Namisango is a Lecturer at Murdoch University's School of Information Technology, part of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. She holds a PhD in Information Systems (2017–2020) from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Her research focuses on social media affordances, cross-cultural technology use, AI content perception, sustainability in IS education, and organizational generativity in digital spaces. She has received the 2019 FEIT Post-Thesis Publication Award from UTS.
Her work explores sociomaterial theory, socio-technical systems, and the intersection of culture and technology. Notable research includes studies on service co-creation in nonprofits, Ubuntu philosophy in diasporic contexts, and knowledge-based strategies in professional service firms. She actively publishes on digital innovation, intellectual capital frameworks, and ICT applications in developing economies.
