Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih UğUR is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, Kastamonu University, Turkey. He has been serving in this position since 2023. Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital from 1998 to 2003. In addition to his academic role, he served as Deputy Hospital Manager at Kastamonu University from 2023 to 2024.
His educational background includes a Medical Degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1991-1998) followed by Medical Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital (1998-2003). He also holds an English language certificate (YÖKDİL, score 66) from March 20, 2017.
Dr. UğUR specializes in Orthopedics and Traumatology with research interests spanning various areas of musculoskeletal disorders. His work focuses on knee and shoulder surgeries, fracture management, spinal disorders, and pediatric orthopedics. He has conducted extensive research on joint replacements, particularly total knee arthroplasty, and has explored innovative techniques in bone alignment procedures and trauma management. His research also extends to the relationship between spinal deformities and respiratory conditions, as well as the biomechanics of tendon variations and their clinical implications.
