Farzad Mousazadeh

Dr.ir. Farzad Mousazadeh is a Senior Design Supervisor/Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Delft University of Technology. He specializes in Process Equipment Design, Dynamic Process Simulation & Control, and Process Optimization. His academic background includes a BSc and MSc from Tehran Polytechnic (graduated 2005), followed by a PhD in Chemical Engineering from TU Delft (2013), focusing on CFD simulation of trickle bed reactors and DNS of packed bed reactors. Post-PhD, he worked in the automation industry for a decade, developing dynamic process models for optimization and training, including simulations for gas plants, regasification facilities, and chemical production units. Currently, he supervises EngD trainees in individual/group design projects and collaborates with industry to acquire projects. He serves as a board member of PSE-NL, fostering industry-academia innovation.
