Faruk Obuća

Faruk Obuća is a Research Fellow at the International University of Sarajevo, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the Department of Psychology. His work focuses on virtual reality therapy, behavioral addictions, metacognitions, mindfulness, anxiety, and emotion recognition.

Recent publications highlight his exploration of virtual reality therapy for sleep quality and anxiety reduction, the interdependence of metacognition and mindfulness in social anxiety, and the psychological impact of digitalization on Bosnian youth. He has investigated emotional and behavioral challenges in adolescents, the influence of bilingualism on cognition and emotion, and mechanisms driving problematic social networking site usage through empirical studies and path models.
