Farcău Cosmin

Dr. Farcău Cosmin is a Leading Researcher (R4) at the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies (INCDTIM), specializing in laser spectroscopy and nanostructured materials. His research focuses on colloidal self-assembly, plasmon-enhanced optical processes, and nanofabrication techniques for sensing applications. He holds an MSc (2005) and PhD (2008) in Physics from Babeș-Bolyai University.

Research interests include optical/plasmonic interactions in nanostructured films, nanoparticle arrays for biosensing, and microfluidic analytical platforms. He has led multiple national and international projects, including dual SERS-electrochemical detection systems for environmental pollutants and Alzheimer's biomarker sensors using gold nanourchins.
