Fangyuan Shen

Fangyuan Shen is a Lecturer in Projects and Operations Management at the Department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management, Faculty of Business and Law, Manchester Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD in Management of Projects (Feb 2024) from the University of Manchester, an MA in Public Administration & Policy, and an MSc in Commercial Project Management.

• Research Focus: Agile methodologies, organizational agility, agile coaching, and stakeholder relationship management.
• Key Projects: Agile practices during the pandemic, SME adaptation of agile methods, and agile coaching dynamics.

Her research outputs span agile method tailoring, post-COVID operational strategies, and smart city project management. She chairs conferences and reviews papers for academic tracks. Professional Memberships: Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Association for Project Management (APM), and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
