Fakhreddine Madi

Fakhreddine Madi serves as a Lecturer (Graduate Tutor) and PhD Student at the University of the West of England within the College of Arts, Technology and Environment. He actively contributes to research and teaching while being a core member of the Engineering Modelling and Simulation Group (ESMG) led by Professor Yufeng Yao, which specializes in advanced engineering modeling and simulation techniques.

His work bridges natural world observations with engineering applications to develop efficient aircraft solutions.

His recent publications (2020-2024) demonstrate a cohesive research trajectory focused on morphing wing aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, primarily investigating leading-edge and trailing-edge modifications. These studies consistently employ computational methods to optimize multi-objective performance metrics, reflecting strong interdisciplinary trends at the intersection of biomimicry, fluid dynamics, and sustainable aviation design.

As part of the EMSG, Mr Madi collaborates on high-fidelity engineering simulations that advance the group's mission of applying cutting-edge modeling techniques to solve complex real-world engineering challenges across multiple disciplines.
