Faisal Quader

Dr. Faisal Quader is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and serves as a co-founder and President of Technuf LLC, a Maryland-based technology firm specializing in cybersecurity, AI/ML, and software engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity and Data Science from UMBC, a Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.

With 27 years of industry experience, Quader previously worked at Fortune 50 companies like General Electric and Lockheed Martin. He co-founded Technuf in 2011 to deliver innovative technology solutions for federal and commercial clients, including the IRS, NIH, DoD, and state governments. The company is CMMI Level 3 certified.

Active in academia, he chairs the Department of Information Systems’ advisory board and integrates real-world case studies into his teaching. Beyond academia, Quader leads non-profits like AABEA (American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers & Architects) and BEST (Bangladeshi Entrepreneurs Society of Talents), promoting STEM education and philanthropy. A passionate musician, he performs Tagore songs and blends Eastern and Western musical traditions.
