Faiaz Khaled

Dr. Faiaz Khaled is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences at Texas Tech University and an affiliate faculty member of the National Wind Institute (NWI). He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Structures) from Louisiana State University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on enhancing structural resilience against extreme wind events, integrating computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aerodynamic experiments, and field measurements.

His TTU-AIR Lab specializes in CFD simulations, aerodynamic experiments, and field observations to model extreme wind impacts on low-rise buildings, tornado-like vortices, and transient wind systems.
