Fady Mikhail

Fady Mikhail is Professor and Director of the Clinical Cytogenetics Lab in UAB's Department of Genetics. Certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, he specializes in chromosomal analysis for genetic disorders and hematologic malignancies. His research identifies novel constitutional copy number variants and acquired chromosomal rearrangements.

Dr. Mikhail leads the UAB Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Clinical Fellowship program, serves on the Cancer Genomics Consortium Board, and contributes to ACMG's Lab QA Committee. He trains medical students, residents, and fellows while authoring numerous publications.
