Fabrizio Pepe is a Full Professor in the Department of Earth and Marine Sciences at the University of Palermo. His office hours are on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 14:00 at Via Archirafi, 22 - 2nd Floor.
Research Interests: His work focuses on
- Active tectonics and seismotectonics in the Mediterranean region
- Coastal geomorphology and vulnerability to sea-level rise
- Volcanology and magmatism at slab tear faults
- Seismic stratigraphy and sedimentary processes
- Geohazard assessment (earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides)
Recent Publications: Analyze the interplay between tectonics, sedimentation, and volcanism across Sicily, Calabria, and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Studies include 3D seismic modeling, boulder dynamics, and paleoenvironmental reconstructions using foraminifera and stalactites.
