Dr. Fabrizia Ratto is a Lecturer in Global Health at the Department of Health Studies, Royal Holloway, University of London. She is affiliated with the School of Life Sciences and the Environment and serves as EDI lead and Disability & Neurodiversity network member in her department.
Education:
- PhD in Ecology (2018) from the University of Southampton
- MSc in Environmental Practice (2008) from Bournemouth University
- BSc in Natural Sciences (2004) from Università degli Studi di Milano
Research Interests:
- Insect conservation and human well-being, focusing on agroecology and sustainable agriculture
- Pollinator roles in medicinal plant survival and human health
- Insect ecology and conservation, particularly Lepidoptera
- Systematic reviews and meta-analysis methodologies

- Reintroduction of the Black-veined White butterfly in the UK
- Global assessment of pollinator dependence of medicinal plants
- Exploring farm management practices for biodiversity and carbon sequestration
