Fabrice Veron is Dean of the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment and Professor at the School of Marine Science & Policy at the University of Delaware. He leads the Air-Sea Interaction Laboratory (ASI Lab), which is affiliated with the Physical Ocean Science and Engineering (POSE) program. His research focuses on fundamental processes at the ocean-atmosphere boundary layer.
His research interests include air-sea interactions, turbulence, surface wave dynamics, air-sea gas exchange, sea spray generation, and wind-wave coupling. The ASI Lab conducts pioneering experimental work using a large wind-wave-current flume, complemented by theoretical and numerical modeling.
Fabrice Veron earned his Ph.D. in Oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego (2000), and holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bordeaux, France.
His laboratory, the Air-Sea Interaction Laboratory (ASI Lab), is dedicated to advancing understanding of physical processes at the air-sea interface through innovative field and laboratory experiments. The lab emphasizes inclusive, ethical, and professional research practices.
While specific publications and awards are not listed in the provided text, a full list of his scholarly works can be found via Google Scholar. He is actively engaged in research, mentoring, and academic leadership.
