Fabienne Pizot-Haymore

Fabienne Pizot-Haymore serves as Full-time Lecturer of French and Managing Director of the International French for Specific Purposes Exam Center at Case Western Reserve University's Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, where she has been a faculty member since 2000.

Her educational credentials include:

• Master’s of Arts Degree in English and Certificate in Didactics of English Teaching from Université Paul Valéry (Montpellier, France)
• Master’s Degree in French from Case Western Reserve University
• Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from Kent State University
• Certificate in Didactics of Teaching French for Professions from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris

Her research focuses on cognitive processes in language acquisition, standardized language test development, and semiotic analysis in theatrical translation. She actively explores adaptive expertise methodologies for language instruction and bridges gaps in foreign language education for diverse learner populations, with particular emphasis on cognition's role in linguistic development.
