Fabiano Dalpiaz

Prof. Fabiano Dalpiaz is Professor of Software Production at Utrecht University, where he leads the Requirements Engineering Lab. As Editor-in-Chief of Springer's Requirements Engineering Journal and Steering Committee chair of REFSQ, he blends AI with requirements engineering. His research develops tools for improving requirements elicitation and analysis.

His work integrates natural language processing and visualization techniques to enhance requirements engineering processes. Recent publications focus on terminology standardization, automated analysis of software artifacts, and AI-assisted requirement extraction methods.

Honors include the 2021 IEEE RE Best Paper Award. As program leader for the Computing Science master's program, he teaches model-driven engineering and requirements engineering courses.
