FRANCISCO JOSE RAMIL BLANCO

Francisco Jose Ramil Blanco is a full-time researcher affiliated with the Faculty of Marine Sciences at the University of Vigo, specializing in the Department of Ecology and Animal Biology. His work focuses on zoology and marine environmental studies, with a particular emphasis on hydrozoa taxonomy and ecology.

He earned his PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1988, defending a thesis titled Hydrozoa of Galicia under the supervision of Dr. Darío J. Díaz and Dr. Eugenio Fernández Pulpeiro. Currently, he contributes to research activities within the BA2 Environmental Biology research group and the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo.
