معرفی
Dr. FAN Lu is an Assistant Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology, leading the Microbial Informatics Lab in the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering. His research focuses on microbial ecology, evolution, symbiosis, and microbiome-virus interactions using computational biology approaches.
- PhD in Microbiology and Immunology (University of New South Wales, 2012)
- MSc in Biophysics (Zhejiang University, 2008)
- BSc in Applied Bioscience (Zhejiang University, 2006)
His work spans microbial interactions in marine environments, computational phylogenetics, and environmental applications of microbiomes. Recent publications highlight sponge holobiont dynamics, mitochondrial evolution, and viral regulation of archaea in carbon cycling.
Scientific awards include the FEMS Young Scientist Prize (2011) and Tony Roach Prize in Marine Environmental Science (2014).
Active grants include NSFC projects on marine archaea mechanisms (2020-2022, 2024-2027) and Shenzhen initiatives on antipollution microbiology.
