F. Gökben HIZLI SAYAR

Professor F. Gökben HIZLI SAYAR serves as Professor, Advisor to the Rector, and Director of the Institute of Social Sciences at Üsküdar University. She holds positions in both the Faculty of Medicine - Department of Mental Health and Diseases and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - Psychology (English) program. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, she has established herself as a leading expert in neuromodulation techniques, particularly Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy.

Dr. Hızlı Sayar's research interests focus on psychiatry, clinical psychology, neuromodulation, and psychotherapies. Her work has significantly advanced the understanding and application of transcranial magnetic stimulation for various psychiatric conditions including depression, OCD, and schizophrenia. She has pioneered research on TMS applications during pregnancy and for geriatric populations, addressing critical gaps in psychiatric treatment options for these vulnerable groups. Her interdisciplinary approach combines neuroscience, clinical practice, and technological innovation to develop more effective treatment protocols.
