Ewald Kibler is an Associate Professor at the Department of Management Studies, Aalto University. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, institutional dynamics, place-based studies, and social entrepreneurship. He has been recognized with the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2017) and Best Doctoral Thesis accolades (2012/2013). His work explores topics such as entrepreneurial passion, aging entrepreneurs, and the interplay between place and organizational behavior. He collaborates widely, publishing in journals like Journal of Business Venturing and Organization Studies. His recent studies address emotional exhaustion in aging entrepreneurs, narrative strategies in deprived contexts, and institutional creation in North Korea.
