Ewa Strzalkowska-Kominiak

Ewa Strzalkowska-Kominiak is an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a Mathematics degree from Warsaw University of Technology and a PhD in Natural Sciences from Justus-Liebig Universitat Giessen. Her academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Universidade da Coruña (2009–2012) and roles at UC3M as a Juan de la Cierva fellow (2012–2022), Visiting Professor (2022), and current Associate Professor (since 2024).

Her research focuses on statistical methodologies in nonparametric statistics, survival analysis, and functional data analysis. Key themes include developing methods for censored data, such as nonparametric estimation of bivariate distributions and analysis of survival data in medical contexts (e.g., head and neck squamous cell carcinoma).
