Ewa Katarzyna Citko

Dr hab. Ewa Katarzyna Citko, prof. UwB, is a Full Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, University of Białystok. Her research focuses on film analysis, cultural anthropology, and the interplay between sacred and profane in contemporary culture. She holds a Master's in Cultural Studies (1984), Doctorate in Humanities (1996), and Habilitation in Literary Studies (2009).

Her academic work explores:

• Gender roles and sexuality in European cinema
• Religious symbolism in film
• Autobiographical elements in contemporary art
• Psychology of cinematic emotion
