Prof. Dr. hab. Ewa Gorodkiewicz is a faculty member at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Bialystok, specializing in Bioanalysis and Physical Chemistry. Her research focuses on the application of chemistry in medicine, with emphasis on biosensors and biomarkers for diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and multiple sclerosis.
- Research Interests: Biosensor development, tumor biomarkers, neurodegenerative and pro-inflammatory biomarkers, and quantitative analysis in biological systems.
- Key Techniques: Surface Plasmon Resonance Imaging (SPRi).
Recent publications highlight her work on biomarkers for bladder cancer, brain gliomas, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and gynecological-oncological conditions using SPRi-based biosensors. These studies span interdisciplinary fields including oncology, biochemistry, and neurology.
