Dr Evros Loukaides is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. He serves as Programme Tutor for Year 2 and is affiliated with the Made Smarter Innovation Centre for People-Led Digitalisation, the Foundry Centre for Digital Manufacturing, and the IMPS Centre for Integrated Materials.

His research focuses on the mechanics and manufacturing of thin structures, including smart structures, morphing shells, composite forming, additive manufacturing of metamaterials, and machine learning applications in manufacturing. Recent work explores metal forming efficiency, composite laminate compaction, and auxetic material-based fixation devices.
Dr Loukaides contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals through manufacturing sustainability research. He supervises doctoral students and teaches courses on manufacturing operations, aerospace structures, and business design projects. His collaborations span institutions like MIT, Columbia University, and Cambridge, with projects funded by EPSRC and Innovate UK.
