Evren Eren

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Evren Eren is a faculty member at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Bremen University of Applied Sciences. He is actively involved in teaching and research, with a focus on IT security, computer networks, and mathematics.

Key roles include membership in the Academic Senate (2022-2024), the Examination Board for 'Technical Informatics', and the Board of the Institute for Computer Science and Automation (IIA). His research drives interdisciplinary initiatives like NorShiP (North-German Research School for Information Security, Computer Forensics and Privacy), which bridges computer science and law.

Teaching areas include Information Security (INFSIC), Computer Networks (RNETZE), and Mathematics for Engineers (MATHE III). He leads laboratories such as LISA (Laboratory for IT Security Architectures) and SIENNA (Smart Laboratory for Innovative and Extensible Native Network Architectures).

Current research projects (2019-2025) span security assessments for Industry 4.0 infrastructures, data science infrastructure development, cloud IaaS solutions, and SME-focused security incident management systems. He also coordinates the Red Hat Academy’s RHCE certification program since 2018.
