معرفی
Dr. Evgeny Sidenko is a Research Fellow at Curtin University's School of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS), within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. His work focuses on geophysical monitoring, particularly using distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) for applications in CO2 sequestration, marine science, and subsurface dynamics. He is affiliated with the External Collaborative Research Centre for Marine Science and Technology. Sidenko has contributed to the CO2CRC Otway Project, investigating CO2 storage via DAS technology and reservoir pressure changes. His research also involves acoustic ecology, including beaked whale monitoring offshore Australia.
Research Interests:
- Development and application of DAS technology for environmental and geophysical monitoring
- CO2 sequestration monitoring through multi-well VSP imaging and pressure analysis
- Underwater acoustic ecology and marine mammal behavior
- Instrument calibration and sensor deployment methodologies
Recent Trends in Publications: Sidenko's work emphasizes DAS applications in carbon capture, ocean dynamics, and seismic imaging. Recent studies highlight advancements in DAS signal stability under temperature changes, nonlinear seismic effects, and repurposing abandoned wells for permanent monitoring arrays.
Grants & Advising: No specific grants or student advising details are provided in the text.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with the CO2CRC Otway Project team and Curtin's GeoLab research facility.
