Evelyne Shamier is a PhD Candidate in Modern Dutch Literature at Utrecht University's Faculty of Humanities. Her research focuses on blue ecocriticism and the representation of seas in Neerlandophone literatures, integrating postcolonial/decolonial theory and environmental humanities. She holds a BKO University Teaching Qualification and lectures at Utrecht University and University College Utrecht.
