Prof. Dr. Eve Vivienne Clark is the Richard W. Lyman Professor in Humanities and Professor of Linguistics at Stanford University. Her research focuses on first language acquisition, particularly how children learn word meanings, word formation processes across languages, and the role of adult input in guiding this learning. She holds prestigious fellowships including the Guggenheim Fellowship and is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences. Clark’s work bridges linguistics, psychology, and education, emphasizing practical interactions between children and adults in language development.
