Evan Schofer is a Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences. His research focuses on globalization, political participation, education systems, environmentalism, economic inequality, and institutional theory. He is known for his work on world society theory and its implications for global cultural and institutional changes.
He teaches a variety of courses, including advanced statistical methods for social scientists, globalization, and the sociology of education.
