Eva Solomonson serves as Clinical Faculty and Director of BSW Field Education at the University of St. Thomas' School of Social Work. She holds dual responsibilities in academic instruction and field education coordination for undergraduate social work students.
Her educational background includes an MSW from the University of Minnesota and a BA from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Solomonson's research focuses on refugee mental health, cross-cultural social work practice, trauma recovery systems, and the integration of spirituality in professional practice. She emphasizes sustainable social work careers through attention to self-care and prevention of secondary trauma.
Her publication record demonstrates expertise in interpreter collaboration, torture survivor rehabilitation, and social health recovery frameworks. Solomonson's work consistently addresses the intersection of cultural competence and clinical effectiveness in serving vulnerable populations.
As Director of BSW Field Education, she oversees student practicum placements and develops partnerships with community agencies.
