معرفی
Eva Maria Huber is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the School of Natural Sciences and the Chair of Biochemistry under Prof. Groll. She holds joint affiliation with the Professorship for Structural Membrane Biochemistry (Prof. Hagn). Her research focuses on proteasome biology, enzyme inhibition mechanisms, and structural biochemistry of natural products. Dr. Huber's work integrates structural biology, enzymology, and drug discovery to understand fundamental biological processes and develop therapeutic strategies.
Her research interests include:
- Proteasome structure-function relationships
- Design of subunit-selective proteasome inhibitors
- Biosynthesis of antibiotics and secondary metabolites
- Mechanisms of antibiotic resistance
- Enzymatic modification of natural products
- Transcription factor-DNA interactions in fungal pathogenesis
Dr. Huber has contributed significantly to understanding immunoproteasome specificity, fungal siderophore systems, and the structural basis of drug resistance. Her work has implications for cancer therapy, autoimmune disease treatment, and antimicrobial development.
Lab affiliations include:
- Chair of Biochemistry (Prof. Groll)
- Structural Membrane Biochemistry Group (Prof. Hagn)
