Her research centers on breastfeeding support systems, infant sleep patterns, and parental well-being, grounded in attachment theory and self-efficacy frameworks. She investigates complementary pain management methods for children and develops interventions to improve healthcare practices through staff training and informational materials. Her work bridges clinical practice with academic research to enhance perinatal and pediatric care standards.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals strong focus on implementation science in breastfeeding support, with growing interest in animal-assisted therapy for hospitalized children. Her research consistently applies theoretical frameworks to practical healthcare interventions, emphasizing measurable outcomes in maternal-infant health. The geographic scope of her projects demonstrates regional healthcare system integration.
She has mentored four doctoral students to completion (Emma Gerhardsson, Paola Oras, Ingrid Blixt, Maria Wickström) and currently supervises two active doctoral candidates (Erika Andresén, Nicolé Evensson). Her collaborative approach involves multiple regional healthcare institutions and interdisciplinary research teams across child health services.
