Eva Lermer

Professor Eva Lermer serves as Vice President for Excellence in Research and Academia and Academic Director of the THA Graduate School at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. She is a psychologist and sociologist with research expertise spanning organizational psychology, positive psychology, decision psychology, and communication psychology.

Her research interests include Human-AI Interaction, AI Leadership, risk and uncertainty management, New Work concepts, and psychological aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Professor Lermer leads several research projects including PSY-A-EYE, VHB Positive Psychology, and ProFiL, working with a team of researchers to advance understanding in these areas.

Professor Lermer co-authored the book 'Unsicherheit: Globale Herausforderungen psychologisch verstehen und bewältigen' (2022), which examines psychological approaches to handling uncertainty in various contemporary contexts. Her work emphasizes critical thinking, cognitive processes, and the importance of individual responsibility in navigating uncertain environments.

She teaches in the Business Psychology and Data Science bachelor's programs at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, bringing her research expertise into the classroom. Her administrative leadership roles position her at the forefront of research strategy and academic development at the institution.

Professor Lermer maintains a dual academic affiliation, also conducting research and teaching at the Center for Leadership and People Management of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, demonstrating her commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration across institutions.
